Frequently Asked Questions
Lagun USA FAQs
What does the Lagun Table Leg do?
The Original Lagun system allows for vertical adjustment, as well as swiveling 360° on 2 pivot points. Once in desired position, the system can be locked in place by tightening the handles. The system can also be easily dissembled for storage.
Check out the Which System Do I Need? document for details on adjustment ranges.
What if I don't want to pay with PayPal? Can I pay by card?
Visa and Mastercard are also accepted. All forms of payment are processed through PayPal, however, you DO NOT need to create a PayPal account to pay with a card.
Can I place my order over the phone?
Lagun USA is not able to accept verbal orders. To ensure order accuracy, all orders should be placed on our website.
What is a Factory Second (2nd)?
A factory 2nd is new with cosmetic scratches and blemishes. These will not affect the function of the system. With a Factory 2nd Leg, you will NOT be given the option to choose the leg handle position. Click HERE for more information.
How do I install my Lagun Table Leg?
Please see User Guide & Installation Instructions Document.
Can I customize my Lagun Table Leg system?
We do not have the ability to customize the Lagun Table Leg System beyond our current options offered on our website. We also do not have any other variations of any of the accessories listed on our website.
Should you choose to modify any part of the Lagun Table Leg System or its installation, it will void your warranty. The Lagun Table Leg System parts are NOT compatible/interchangeable with any other brands.
What are the Board and Wedges for?
These are optional installation items. The board may be useful to reinforce the vertical surface. The wedges may be useful to level the vertical surface. Please note: These are currently only available in one size, which aligns with the Standard Bracket.
Where should I install the Lagun Table Leg System?
Placement of the bracket is very important as the Lagun Table Leg System requires a solid foundation. The bracket must be installed on a solid vertical surface. Attaching it to only a piece of paneling or fiberglass is not adequate. There isn’t one specific Lagun Table Leg system for every scenario or each model of RV/Van. We are not able to recommend bracket placement or which system would work best for your application, as we do not know structure & reinforcement areas in every van/RV.
Can I use the Lagun Table Leg system in more than one location?
Yes. Additional brackets can be purchased on the Accessories Page to be able to move your Lagun to another location.
By installing an additional bracket on the outside of your camper, in your boat or at the end of your countertop, you can utilize the system in multiple locations.
Can I mount the Original Lagun system on the floor?
No, the bracket must be installed on a solid vertical surface. We do NOT offer a floor adapter option.
The Lagun Table Leg System is NOT compatible with the round tube style table leg, as the system is only as strong as the bracket installation.
What if I need longer bolts?
We do not offer any other size of bolts besides the ones included with the system. The ones included are 2″ in length – 8 mm (or 5/16″ equivalent). If you need a different bolt length, you may need to replace the nuts as well.
Another option is to use #18 Tapered Lag Screws (instead of included bolts).
NOTE: Make sure the screws/bolts used are recessed into the bracket so they do not stick out and get caught on leg handle.
Can the Lagun tabletop fold down?
This depends on which TMP (Under Tabletop) you have.
Standard TMP (included with all systems) – No, there are no hinges to allow that to happen. However, you can easily disassemble the pieces. This allows you to store the entire Lagun Table Leg System under the tabletop (except for the installed Bracket).
Folding TMP – Yes. This option is available within “Build Your Own” system.
What is the dovetail channel on the Table Mounting Plate (TMP) for?
This channel is used to store the leg when the system is disassembled.
What size tabletop is recommended for Lagun?
- Tabletops are NOT INCLUDED with systems.
- System with Standard TMP can support up to 50 lbs & a tabletop up to 30″ x 40″.
-
- This includes the weight of the tabletop plus anything placed on it.
-
- System with Folding TMP can support up to 40 lbs. & a tabletop up to 24″ x 36″.
-
- This includes the weight of the tabletop plus anything placed on it.
-
- The TMP should be as centered as possible.
- Minimum tabletop thickness: 5/8″
- Use #8 pan headed screws (NOT INCLUDED) to install to the tabletop. Screws must be installed at least 1/2 the depth of the tabletop for stability reason, using caution so they don’t protrude through the tabletop.
- CAUTION: Leaning or excessive pushing on the tabletop can damage parts of the Lagun Table Leg.

Will I be able to convert a Lagun dinette into a bed?
Yes! The Lagun table leg system can be disassembled for storage or conversion of dinette to bed.
- Loosen the handle on the leg & remove the Lagun Table Leg from the permanently installed bracket
- Flip your table top onto a protected flat surface
- Loosen the handle that links the arm & leg
- Remove the leg from the arm
- Slide the leg onto the table mounting plate to store under your table top
- Make sure all handles are secured & positioned appropriately
Whether or not the leg could be lowered to bed height with the system still assembled would depend on how high your bench is off the ground. The Standard & Double Handled legs are the shortest legs we offer. The overall measurement from the bottom of these legs to the top of the TMP (Table Mounting Plate) is 23’” (not including the thickness of the tabletop itself). This would be the “shortest” overall height the system could be lowered to while still assembled, which is typically higher than the bench height.
Ultimately, we would strongly encourage disassembling the system to use your tabletop in bed mode. This way ensures the tabletop is fully supported by the bed rails.
How Do I Clean the Lagun Table Leg System?
It’s a good idea to use a clean dry rag to wipe the tracks of the bracket & leg periodically. We do not recommend using any lubricants or cleaners, as these would attract debris in the air to collect. Check out this article for tips on How to Extend the Longevity of the Lagun Table Leg.
